Healthy Cake
Oil-free cake? Flourless cake? Everything is possible, and this recipe is a prime example of a healthy cake.
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 3/4 cup dates, pitted
- 1/2 cup dark semisweet chocolate
- 2 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- pinch of vanilla
- 1 cup cooked chickpeas
- 2 eggs

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Place hot water in the blender and add the dates and the dark chocolate. Blend well, then add the cooked chickpeas, followed by the cocoa and baking powder. Continue blending, then add the eggs and vanilla.
- Pour the batter into a medium loaf pan greased with a little tahini.
- Bake in a preheated oven for about 30 minutes, or until fully cooked.Timers: 30 min
- A few minutes before it finishes, top the cake with almonds and nuts as desired.
