Cream with Fruit
Cream with fruit is the perfect dessert for times when we're craving something sweet but don't want a rich, heavy dessert... a delicious treat that's also light.
Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 1 1/4 cups liquid milk
- 2 cups heavy cream
- 3/4 cup sugar
- A pinch of vanilla or 1 vanilla bean
- 3 teaspoons gelatin
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Place the gelatin over 1/4 cup of the milk and stir well. Set aside until completely dissolved.
- Place the milk, cream, sugar, and vanilla bean over heat until hot, but do not let it boil.
- Remove the pot from the heat and add the dissolved gelatin.
- Pour the mixture into cups or a mold and decorate as desired, either with jelly, fresh fruit, or a thick strawberry sauce with whipped cream
