Safouf with Farikha Flour

Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- 2 cups flour
- 1 cup farikha flour
- 2 1/2 cups sugar
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cups water
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 1/2 tablespoons turmeric
- 4 tablespoons powdered milk
- Sesame seeds or nuts, for garnish
Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Mix all the ingredients well until the batter is smooth and combined
- Grease a medium baking tray with tahini and pour in the batter
- Sprinkle sesame seeds or nuts on top
- Place the tray in a preheated oven at 180°C. Put it on the middle rack and leave it until cooked, about half an hour or as needed depending on your oven
- Brown the top slightly
- Serve the safouf at room temperature
- You can brush the top of the safouf with a little syrup for a beautiful color and shine
