Ingredients:

2 cups semolina

1/2 cup sugar

1/2 cup shredded coconut

1/2 cup melted ghee

1 teaspoon vanilla

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 1/4 cups yogurt

Preparation:

Combine semolina with sugar, coconut, baking powder, and vanilla.

Add yogurt and whisk with a handheld whisk, then add the melted ghee and mix well to form a slightly soft dough.

Prepare a baking tray lightly oiled with tahini to prevent sticking. Spread the namoura in the tray, shape it, cut it, and decorate with nuts. Let it rest for about 30 minutes, then bake on the middle rack in a preheated oven.

Turn the oven to bake from the bottom; when the edges brown, switch to top heat to finish browning. Remove and pour syrup over while hot, allowing it to soak as it cools.

Syrup:

2 cups sugar

1 cup water

Boil until the sugar dissolves, then add 1 teaspoon lemon juice and a dash of orange blossom water
