Chocolate Caramel Dessert
An easy two-layer dessert combining chocolate and caramel. Loved by caramel fans — serve chilled.

Ingredients
Start here, then move straight into the method.
- Almonds for garnish
- First layer
- 2 tablespoons starch
- 1 cup milk
- 1/2 cup chocolate
- A pinch of salt
- Second layer
- 2 tablespoons starch
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 2 teaspoons butter

Method
Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.
- Prepare the first layer.. mix the dry ingredients well then add the milk and stir until the starch dissolves
- Add the chocolate and place the mixture in a pot over very, very low heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens
- Pour the Chocolate Caramel chocolate mixture into glasses
- When it cools to room temperature.. place it in the refrigerator
- Begin making the second layer.. mix the starch with the milk well until it dissolves completely and set aside
- Put the sugar in a pot over low heat and stir until it caramelizes, then add the butter and stir well
- Add the milk and stir well until the mixture becomes thick
- Pour the caramel mixture over the chocolate layer in the Chocolate Caramel glasses .. then return them to the refrigerator
- Garnish the Chocolate Caramel with almonds and serve cold
