Ingredients:

1 kg boneless chicken, cut into long strips\r\n1/2 cup yogurt\r\n1/2 cup white vinegar\r\n1/2 cup vegetable oil\r\n1 head garlic, minced\r\n1 tablespoon shawarma spice\r\n1 teaspoon black pepper\r\n1 teaspoon seven-spice blend\r\na pinch of ground cinnamon\r\na pinch of nutmeg\r\nsalt to taste\r\n1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Preparation:

Rinse the chicken pieces well and drain them in a colander, then place them in a mixing bowl. Mix all the ingredients and add the chicken, letting it marinate in this mixture overnight.

\r\n

The next day, place the marinated chicken in a baking dish. Preheat the oven and bake until the chicken is cooked through, about 40 minutes.

The shawarma is served with French fries, pickles, garlic sauce, and a mayonnaise-kissed cabbage slaw.
