Peanut sweets — a dough filled with peanuts and coated in chocolate. An inventive and delicious recipe using readily available ingredients.

Ingredients:

125 g butter at room temperature 3/4 cup powdered sugar 1/2 cup vegetable oil 3 cups sifted flour (more if needed depending on the flour type) 2 tbsp cornstarch 1 tbsp cocoa powder 1 medium egg 1 tsp vanilla A pinch of salt Filling: 1 cup peanuts Small can sweetened condensed milk (or less, according to the amount of peanuts) For coating: Chocolate bar 1 can cream (qimar) or similar cream

Method:

Peel the peanuts and pulse them in a food processor, then spread them on a tray and roast in the oven until golden; let cool.
Mix the roasted peanuts with the condensed milk to form the filling.
In another bowl prepare the dough: cream the butter with powdered sugar, then add the oil and egg and mix.
Add the cornstarch, a pinch of salt and the vanilla, then gradually add the flour and bring the mixture together with your fingers without over-kneading.
Add the cocoa powder and shape the dough, then chill in the fridge for 15 minutes.
After 15 minutes divide the dough into two portions, roll out on baking paper, cover with another sheet and roll thin.
Remove the top paper and cut the dough into circles.
Place a spoonful of the peanut filling on each circle, close and shape into small balls, then press the center to give the peanut-like shape.
Arrange the pieces on a baking paper-lined tray and bake in a preheated oven for about 10 minutes until set.
Let cool. Meanwhile melt the chocolate bar in a double boiler with the cream and mix.
When the chocolate mixture cools, dip each peanut sweet into the chocolate, place on baking paper and refrigerate until the coating sets.
