Ingredients

  • 1 packet puff pastry dough
  • 1 cup soft pitted dates
  • 1 cup crushed walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Cut each piece of puff pastry into four squares.
  2. Mix the soft crushed dates with the walnuts and set aside.
  3. Blend the cinnamon and sugar in a blender, then add the egg with vanilla and whisk... add this mixture to the date and walnut mixture and mix well so the filling is homogeneous.
  4. Place a teaspoon of the date and walnut filling inside each puff pastry square.
  5. Roll them up into a roll shape.
  6. Use a fork to make small holes in the rolls.
  7. Place the puff pastry rolls filled with date and walnut on a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
  8. Bake the puff pastry rolls for only 10 minutes until golden and serve warm or cooled according to preference.
