Easy Coffee-Flavoured Cake

Easy coffee-flavoured cake is a delicious, simple recipe to prepare. Although it contains only a little coffee, children will love this cake just as much as adults, and maybe even more :)

Ingredients

Start here, then move straight into the method.

  • 1 and 3/4 cups flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 and 1/3 cups granulated sugar
  • 3 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1 cup butter (you can use half butter and half vegetable oil)
  • 1 cup warm milk + 1 tablespoon
  • 1 tablespoon coffee dissolved in a little water
  • 3 eggs
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • Note
  • We wrote the baking time as 25 minutes because the recipe owner baked it in small trays in order to freeze it later and use it when needed. But if the cake pan is larger, it will take longer to bake through (about 35 to 45 minutes). You should test for doneness before taking it out of the oven.

Method

Follow the cooking sequence without leaving the page.

  1. Place all the dry ingredients together and sift them.
  2. Put the sugar with the butter (or oil) and beat with an electric or hand mixer... when the mixture becomes creamy, add the eggs one after another, beating with the electric or hand mixer until all the eggs are used up. Then add a little of the dry ingredients with the dissolved coffee over the egg mixture and a little milk, and continue stirring or beating by hand until all the mixture is finished.
  3. You can place parchment paper at the bottom of the cake pan or spray it with oil, or brush the pan with oil. Bake in an oven at 170°C for about 45 minutes
    Timers: 45 min
  4. or leave it in the oven until it is well browned and cooked through. You can test for doneness with a toothpick before removing it from the oven.
